Despite losing out to Simon Pegg for the role of the upcoming Star Trek movie, TrekMovie.com has been able to announce that Paul McGillion will be making an appearance in JJ Abram’s Star Trek movie. Morena is 6th Hottest Babe in Space
December 13th, 2007 Filed Under Morena Baccarin News
The people over at Asylum have voted Morena Baccarin, Adria (Vala’s daughter and leader of the Ori) as their 6th ‘hottest babe in space’.
The appeal of Morena’s character from Joss Whedon’s cult TV series can be summed up in two words: space hooker. (Sorry, space ‘companion.’) The sultry Baccarin further secured her place on the screensavers of geeks everywhere by joining the cast of Stargate: SG-1. Hmm…maybe it’s time Morena considered a role in something that isn’t viewed exclusively by 30-something males in their parents’ basements.

About.com Review Stargate: Atlantis Season 3 DVD
December 13th, 2007 Filed Under Stargate: Atlantis DVD Reviews
About.com have reviewed Stargate: Atlantis, season 3, on DVD. They call it a “controversial season”, mostly down to the major death encountered in the season; that of the beloved Carson Beckett. The reviewer is positive about the extras on the boxset, even though the number of commentries has been whittled down a little,
The goodies on the season 3 set generally stay interesting and informative, and there’s collectively there’s that much-wanted sense of insight in to the show’s development that we fans look for.

A Few Words with Torri Higginson
December 11th, 2007 Filed Under Stargate: Atlantis Cast Interview
There’s a brief interview with Torri Higginson at the official Stargate website, where she talks about her role as Elizabeth Weir, and her recent reappearance in the series
Despite now no longer being in the show, Torri is hesitant about making a complete come back to Stargate: Atlantis, and would rather opt for guest appearances for a couple of episodes and carry on working on other projects, as she has just done with This Mortal Coil:
I wouldn’t go back to do a regular thing, but I’m more than happy to go back to do one or two episodes.
Saying that she did say that loves working on Stargate: Atlantis:
As long as Weir had something to do - was there for a reason and was emotionally and intellectually engaged with the story, then it would be a lot of fun
You can read the entire interview, including her thoughts on This Mortal Coil, at the official website
Post Linx December 10th, 2007 Filed Under Episode Reviews: Other Websites Here’s the round-up of reviews of Atlantis’ last episode, This Mortal Coil. While Syfy Portal enjoyed the episode, the reviewer had his fair share of comments, which I find myself agreeing with: Well, is it just me or does this remind anyone else of Stargate SG-1 season one’s Tin Man (duplicates of the team that don’t realize it) combined with season four’s Double Jeopardy (the same duplicates sacrifice themselves to save the originals)? This is a little disturbing since the last episode, Miller’s Crossing, reminded me a little too much of Desperate Measures. But there are still some good things to be said about this episode: I liked the set-up for the Replicator duplicate reveal. I loved the two McKay’s teaming up (classic). It was great seeing Dr. Weir again. Overall, it was a good episode with a darker edge that has been a new theme for this entire season. TV Squad were kind enough to the episode and had some good things to say, though find themselves comparing to episodes come before, this time from a different sci-fi show: The duplicate team brought up an interesting ethical question as well. Who’s to say what is more real or which one has any certain claim to people, places, or things? I would have loved to see at least one of the replicated team make it out of the diversion mission, but I never thought it would happen. It is a story that can be done very well, calling to mind the two Chrichton’s on Farscape. Look for SG1-Atlantis.com’s review very soon! Post Linx December 7th, 2007 Filed Under Stargate: Atlantis News Stargate: Atlantis will be returning to its home on terrestrial TV, Five, from Monday 17th December.
