Details for this week’s Harmony
January 25th, 2008 Filed Under Stargate: Atlantis Episodes
Here are the details for tonight’s new Stargate: Atlantis episode, Harmony.
While re-visiting an off-world trading partner, Lt. Colonel Sheppard and Dr. McKay receive high praise from the beautiful princesses Mardola and Flora who express their undying gratitude for the trade, medical assistance and protection Atlantis has provided for the past several years.
The princesses beg a further favor, asking Sheppard and McKay to accompany their sister Harmony, designated successor to the throne, to the ruins of the Temple of Laros, a mandatory rite of passage. Reluctant to jeopardize their otherwise untroubled alliance and anticipating that the third sister will be equally beguiling, Sheppard and McKay agree to escort Harmony on a journey promised to take no longer than a day.
Their chivalry is challenged upon meeting Harmony, a thirteen year old child with high expectations of her protectors. Disheartened, Sheppard and McKay nonetheless proceed with their mission, unaware that she has enemies, and character flaws, yet to be dealt with.
And for those of you in the UK, you can watch this episode on Sky One on Tuesday.

Quarantine Review
January 23rd, 2008 Filed Under Episode Reviews
We start off as any day in Atlantis would. Rodney’s in his lab, John’s there bugging him. Keller’s in the med lab patching up Ronon after another sparring accident and Carter and Zelenka are moving around the city. Rodney’s off to propose to Katie and Teyla’s gone to see John in Rodney’s lab. Suddenly the whole city goes into lockdown; there’s a quarantine situation. Everyone’s isolated and there’s no way for anyone to see who’s working on the problem. Everyone assumes it would be Rodney, but he’s stuck without a work station or radio. [More…]

Quarantine Review Round Up
January 21st, 2008 Filed Under Episode Reviews: Other Websites
The reviews for last week’s Quarantine are coming in, so here’s what SyFy Portal had to say for it,
Overall, it is not a bad episode for mostly talking. Obviously it is one of those episodes where they are trying to stick to existing sets and minimizing CGI to make up budget wise for the expensive last few episodes.
…
The main thing that didn’t work for me was how the lockdown felt sort of done before. But since it was just an excuse to get these characters trapped together for some interesting character development, I’ll ignore that problem.
TV Squad recalls its best bit in the episode:
The most exciting part of the episode was Shep’s climb up the tower to the control room. I know that it was all special effects, but they were done so well that I had a case of vertigo when the camera showed the Colonel’s climb. I was even nervous that John would slip and fall down the tower. It was a very well done sequence.
