A Few Words with Torri Higginson

There’s a brief interview with Torri Higginson at the official Stargate website, where she talks about her role as Elizabeth Weir, and her recent reappearance in the series

Despite now no longer being in the show, Torri is hesitant about making a complete come back to Stargate: Atlantis, and would rather opt for guest appearances for a couple of episodes and carry on working on other projects, as she has just done with This Mortal Coil:

I wouldn’t go back to do a regular thing, but I’m more than happy to go back to do one or two episodes.

Saying that she did say that loves working on Stargate: Atlantis:

As long as Weir had something to do - was there for a reason and was emotionally and intellectually engaged with the story, then it would be a lot of fun

Kate Hewlett: More high-stakes

December 5th, 2007   Filed Under Stargate: Atlantis Cast Interview

The official Stargate website interviewed Kate Hewlett, sister of David Hewelett, and the actress who plays Rodney McKay’s sister, Jeannie Miller. Jeannie made her second appearance in last week’s episode of Stargate: Atlantis, Miller’s Crossing.

She talks about when talk of Rodney having a sister was first mentioned back in Letters from Pegasus, “Basically in Letters from Pegasus, David was supposed to mention a brother, and he asked the director and writer if they could change it to his sister. They said that was fine. So he sort of planted the seed, I think – he had a real bee in his bonnet about me coming on the show.”.

Talking about Miller’s Crossing, Kate’s show her enthusiasm, “In this one it’s much more high-stakes,” says Hewlett. “It’s less about how she feels about the situation and more about trying to get out. It’s always so exciting to read a new script. I think Martin is such a fantastic writer. You never know what’s going to happen. And I really like the character so I knew that it would be great. But when I read it, I was really, really excited!”.

She’s hoping to be back for more of Jeannie Miller, fingers crossed! Read the full interview here.
